A client had previously negotiated a significant amount of free (paid for) minutes with its mobile telephone services provider. Rosetta Telecom examined the call logging records and demonstrated that headquarters staff tended to make calls to field staff using the landline. Thus these free minutes were going to waste and they were being billed by their telecoms provider.
Rosetta Telecom installed and configured a GSM module in the client’s phone system and set up call routing rules such that all calls to deployed staff were routed over the mobile phone system using the free minutes. Headquarters staff were unaware of the revised routing taken by calls and no change in call quality was apparent.
This simple modification to call routing covered the costs of installation and configuration within 10 weeks and continues to save the client funds that would have been spent on calls to mobiles.
